Here's my Secret Hack 🤫 For Getting New & Stellar Dating Profile Photos - Fast & Easily 📸

KAVITA AJWANI

During a recent vacation, I was dying to capture some special moments on camera. But...

❌ Without selfie sticks.
❌ Without relying on strangers.

And I wasn’t gonna splurge on a photographer either. Plus, I just wanted casual pictures taken with my iPhone, not professional photos.

As I researched my options 🔍 , I unearthed one of the greatest untapped resources in photography 🤯

Airbnb experiences.

Long story short, I hired a photographer from Airbnb for 70 bucks. And let me tell you, it was the best investment ever.

Here's a little peek 👀 at what we captured:
S'cute, right?

Airbnb has a number of photographers offering "city tours" while they take pictures of you.

  • It’s a fraction of the cost of a traditional photographer.
  • And you get fun, casual photos in cool settings around the city.
Casual “lifestyle" shots are the kinds of photos you want and need for your dating profile. It's not the place for professional headshots.

With just a quick 1 minute search on airbnb, look at the options I found in Toronto:

(and don't worry, you'll be able to find this in easily as well)

I’m not suggesting to actually go on the tour with other people. But rather, send a message to the Airbnb host (I’ve provided you a message template you can use) to set something up. Most will be happy to oblige. Some may request a small extra fee for the one-on-one experience.

Also, I recommend asking them to use your iPhone (assuming it's a newer model that takes great photos) or their phone in order to capture that 'casual' feel we're going for.

Step #1:

Go to airbnb’s experiences website:
www.airbnb.ca/experiences
(create an account if you don’t have one)

Step #2:

Type in your city and a date range that might work for you
(start with this weekend, you can always change it later)

Step #3:

See what pops up! It’s likely some ‘tours’ will be right towards the top of the list.
If not, select the “tours” category.

Step #4:

Browse through and choose someone (or a few people) whose photography style you like. Check reviews.

Step #5:

Look for someone whose tours are for 2-3 people normally. You won’t have to pay much extra (or anything extra) for a one-on-one session.

Step #6:

Use the following template to send them a message:
“Hi (insert their name here)!

I’m interested in your airbnb experience, (insert the name of it here). However, I’m a local from and don't actually need the tour (or the full package necessarily).

To be honest, I'm looking to get some new photos for my dating profile. The goal is to create a casual, authentic feel for my profile, so I'd like the photos to be taken with my iPhone.

Would you be open to booking something one-on-one? I'm happy to pay your airbnb rate plus an additional $50. Let me know! Thanks!
⭐ BONUS TIP ⭐ Since the photos will be taken with your phone, this saves the photographer TONS of time as they don’t have to do any editing or follow-up. (Keep this in mind when negotiating on price 😉)
There are amazing people on dating apps who are dying to see your new pics! So get moving.
If you have any questions, email me kavita@dashingdate.com. And btw, I am not affiliated with any photographers on airbnb, lol.
That's a wrap!

With love, - Coach Kavita ❤️
